Worship

Worship at Northlake

A time to reconnect with one another and remember that God is present in our lives all week long.

Hugs & Handshakes

Sunday mornings are full of hugs, handshakes and loads of conversation as we reconnect with our family and meet new faces. Look across the audience and you will see people of all ages and backgrounds, in everything from shorts to suits.

Songs & Prayers,

Scriptures & Sermons

Our members and ministers lead us in an hour long service every Sunday morning. Together, we join our voices in song and share our heart’s desires through prayer.

We always set aside time to be still and hear what God has to say to each of us by listening to scripture and taking in a lesson. Our hope is that you will leave encouraged and challenged to live more deeply into the Good News of Jesus!

Weekly Communion

The spiritual center of our worship is our weekly communion. All are welcome to join us as we remember the price of the Cross, the joy of the Resurrection, and the hope of eternity together. Through communion we experience true community that comes with being part of the new family God is making in this world!

Visitor Questions

Will I feel put on the spot?

Our goal is that everyone feels welcomed at Northlake. You will not be asked to wear a name tag or stand in front of the congregation. We do love meeting new people, so don’t be surprised if you receive many warm greetings and some conversation!

Can I take communion?

Everyone is invited to join us in Communion. It is a time for those who believe in Jesus Christ to come together and communally acknowledge His centrality to our faith through the sacrifice of His life. During communion, trays of bread* and grape juice are passed through the congregation for anyone who wants to partake in the ceremony.

*Gluten-free bread is also available.

What about my kids?

We offer nurseries and cry rooms for infants. Children 2 years old – 6th grade worship with us until it’s time for the sermon, when they have the option of attending their own worship time.

We think worship is a great opportunity to model spiritual practices to our kids! It also reinforces their sense of belonging in our community. Our adults cherish the enthusiasm our kids show during their part of worship when they come up front to contribute to Church missions, sing a song or hear a short lesson!

What should I wear?

Whatever is comfortable for you.
You will see people in suits, dresses, jeans, shorts and traditional clothing from a variety of countries and cultures.

Will I be asked to give money?

No.
Our collection time is provided for our members to support the work and operations of the church, and to practice generosity toward God.

Morning Classes

We also offer classes for everyone from 9:15-10:15 am
